The 24hr Charity Volleyball Marathon has been held for the last 2 years to raise money for the Gosford Hospital children's Ward.

The next event will be held on 25th-26h October 2014 as part of the World Volleyball Marathon.
Our aim is to turn this into a global event to raise money for those children in need.

Gosford, Australia, January 6, 2014 - A small program in Australia has sprouted into a new organization that use the sport of volleyball as a vehicle to do charity and help those in need around the world.
After just two years of running the local program, the 24 Hour Volleyball Marathon has expanded into a global effort with a new name: the World 24 Hour Volleyball Marathon.
While the organization is based in Gosford, major Australian and international cities are also involved in the cause, including Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, Cambodia, Korea, China, New Zealand and USA.
Criterias for cities or countries looking to join this global marathon is:
1. the Host must be a 'non-profit' organisation;
2. only one Host per city;
3. for the first year, the Host must donate the money raised to the KIDS of their respective local hospital. The following year, the Host can choose to donate to the same hospital or another hospital; and
4. the Host is responsible for their own advertsing, fundraising effort and goodwill.
